The mission of the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities is to support, empower, and inspire people. Since 1955, children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities have counted on Wood Lane’s ability to provide excellent services and supports. While the developmental disabilities system is ever changing, the WCBDD adapts and continues to coordinate vital services for individuals with developmental disabilities in Wood County.

Community members, civic and religious groups, BGSU, as well as businesses have been a critical part of our success. In addition, we have an excellent relationship with school districts and other human service agencies to ensure options and choices in education, employment, recreation, and community involvement. We continue to collaborate with service providers and recruit new providers to the area to increase those options and choices for the individuals we serve.
